2025  Concertmaster, Queens Summer Vocal Institute

At the 2025 Queens Summer Vocal Institute, violinist Chloë Dickens was concertmaster for Jacques Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld, conducted by Louis Burkot and directed by Alex Sheerin.

2025  Soloist at the Till Summer Symposium

At the 2025 Till Summer Symposium, violinist Chloë Dickens gave a spirited performance of the solo part in Astor Piazzolla’s Spring from Las Cuatro Estaciones Porteñas. Blending classical technique with the fiery rhythms of tango, Dickens brought nuance and intensity to this evocative reimagining of the seasons. 

2025  Alegría String Quartet Series in Queens

This summer, violinist Chloë Dickens curated and hosted two vibrant string quartet concerts with the Alegría Ensemble at the historic Oak Ridge venue in Forest Park. The first program, held on July 9th, celebrated the Great American Songbookwith lush, lyrical arrangements of classic jazz and Broadway standards. The second concert on August 5th, Folk and Dance Tunes from Around the World, featured music from Mexico, Denmark, Wales, England, Germany, and beyond, highlighting Alegría’s global spirit and rhythmic flair. Both events reflected Dickens’s commitment to creating welcoming, community-centered performances that blend storytelling, tradition, and virtuosic playing in equal measure.

2025  Principal Second Violin with Opera North

Violinist Chloë Dickens served as Principal Second Violin in Opera North’s enchanting production of The Little Prince by Academy Award-winning composer Rachel Portman. This beloved adaptation of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s classic tale was brought to life with warmth and elegance by a 20-piece chamber orchestra. Conducted by Louis Burkot, the production earned high praise from the Rutland Herald, calling the orchestra "excellent". 

2025  World Premiere of Edward Smaldone’s Piano Trio

This marks the first presentation of Smaldone's 'While the sand still runs' by the Alegria ensemble, which explores themes of life's journey and the passage of time. Edward Smaldone is a distinguished American composer, named “Composer of the Year” by the Classical Recording Foundation in 2016. He has received the Goddard Lieberson Fellowship from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Smaldone said, "Collaborating with artists who truly interpret the music is a unique joy,” he said. “Chloë and Alegría breathe life into every piece they perform, and I’m honored to see my work come to life with such a remarkable group.”

2025  On-stage with Smokey Robinson

As part of Smokey Robinson’s Legacy Tour, violinist Chloë Dickens joined the legendary Motown artist for a special performance at Kodak Hall during the 2025 Rochester International Jazz Festival. Performing as part of a string quartet, Dickens contributed to lush new arrangements that wove classical texture into Robinson’s timeless sound. Sharing the stage with one of soul music’s most iconic voices, this collaboration highlighted the power of live strings to elevate and reimagine classic hits for a new generation of listeners.

2025  Artist at Lake George

At this year’s Lake George Music Festival, violinist Chloë Dickens performed in a dynamic range of chamber and orchestral settings. Highlights included Shostakovich’s Piano Quintet in G minor, and Donnacha Dennehy’s visceral and texturally rich String Quartet, showcasing the rhythmic drive and harmonic color of the contemporary Irish composer. Dickens also served as concertmaster for the festival string ensemble in their performance of Grieg’s Holberg Suite, leading with stylistic elegance and vitality. The program reflected the festival’s hallmark blend of classical tradition and bold new voices, brought to life by a community of exceptional artists.

2025  NY Premiere of Milos Raickovich's duos for flute and violin

This concert marked the world premiere of Serbian-American composer Miloš Raickovich’s Duos, presented by the Alegría Ensemble in the resplendent Serbian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Sava. Raickovich praised the ensemble’s interpretation:

“Flutist Mina Šuković and violinist Chloë Dickens gave a brilliant U.S. premiere of my pieces Traces in the Snow and Now or Never. The two pieces, very different and demanding, were played with great technical skill and the right feeling. The first piece sounded dreamy and lyrical, while the second was energetic, with a sense of urgency. Bravo—I hope to collaborate with them again.”

The program also featured Alegría’s original arrangements of Beethoven’s Serenade Op. 25 and Max Reger’s Serenade Op. 141a—both originally scored for flute, violin, and viola—reimagined here for flute, violin, and cello. 

2024  Carnegie Hall – World Premiere of ‘Liaisons Dangereuses’ by Kervy Delcy

Chloe Dickens performed the world premiere of Ms. Delcy’s work as a soloist at Carnegie Hall. Kervy Delcy is an award-winning composer and recipient of two Bronze Medals from the Global Music Awards. She was awarded the Louis Dreyfus Warner Scholarship and is a fellow of the Composers & The Voice program (2023-2025).  

2024   Carnegie Hall – World Premiere of ‘The Fifth Element’ by Imani Garner

Chloe Dickens performed as lead violinist for the world premiere of ‘The Fifth Element’ at Carnegie Hall. Imani Garner is a composer known for her work in film and theater, having collaborated with Columbia Records, Warner Music Group, Motown Records, and Capitol Music Group. Her compositions have featured in major productions, including "All the Gaps" (2023) and the upcoming film "JEAN & I" (2025). 

2024-2025  Concertmaster – Queens Summer Vocal Institute

Chloe Dickens leads as concertmaster for their professional orchestra, performing under the baton of Dr. Louis Burkot, Artistic Director of Opera North. The Queens Summer Vocal Institute is a prestigious opera program featuring international vocalists. 

2024-2025   Performing Artist – Young Musicians of Westchester

As lead violinist, Chloe Dickens performed in eight concerts throughout summer and fall 2024. Young Musicians of Westchester is a nonprofit organization fostering collaborations between top classical musicians and the Westchester community. 

2022-2025   Founding Member – Alegría Ensemble

Chloe Dickens is a founding member of the  highly acclaimed classical chamber group,  Alegría Ensemble. The ensemble has been featured by WQXR Radio, Kupferberg Center for the Arts, and leading contemporary composers in the New York City area.

2023-2025  Performer & Educator – WQXR Classical Kids Fair

At their annual Classical Kids Fair, Chloe Dickens led multiple workshops as a performer and educator and has been invited to return for a third year. WQXR is the most listened-to classical music station in the United States. 

2024  Performance with Rufus Reid

Chloe Dickens was personally selected by Reid to perform with his band, featuring music from his album ‘Celebration’. Rufus Reid is a multi-Grammy-nominated jazz bassist and recipient of major honors, including awards from DownBeat Magazine, The International Association of Jazz Educators, and the International Society of Bassists. He was also awarded a Congressional Achievement Award. 

2024-2026   Carrick Concerts, UK

Chloe Dickens performed as violin soloist in a tour of the southwest, and is invited to perform in their 2026 season. Carrick Concerts is a non-profit arts  organisation whose aim is to bring professional classical chamber music to the South West of England. 

2023-2025  Lake George Music Festival, USA

Chloe Dickens was selected as a featured performing artist in 2023 and has since been invited back annually. The Lake George Music Festival is one of the United States’ most prestigious music artist retreats. The festival has a rich musical heritage, attracting artists such as Metropolitan Opera star Marcella Sembrich and composer Sidney Homer.

2024-2025   Lead Violinist – Long Island Philharmonia, USA

Chloe Dickens performs as a lead violinist in both orchestral and chamber settings. The Long Island Philharmonia is a nonprofit professional orchestra dedicated to bringing high-quality classical music performances to a broad audience. 

2024 Composer Artist in Residence –Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, Canada

Chloe Dickens was one of the few composers selected as a ‘Banff Artist in Residence’ for the Winter program. Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity is the largest arts institution in Western Canada. 

2022   West End Showcase – Trafalgar Theatre, UK

Chloe Dickens performed as violin soloist in a tour of the southwest, and is invited to perform in their 2026 season. Carrick Concerts is a non-profit arts  organisation whose aim is to bring professional classical chamber music to the South West of England. 

2022   ‘Flying Bedroom’ show at Theatr Clwyd, UK

Chloe Dickens was cast as both a principal musician and actor in the highly regarded Flying Bedroom production. Theatr Clwyd is Wales’ largest producing theater, known for its Olivier Award-winning productions. 

2021   Headliner at Ronnie Scott’s, UK

Chloe Dickens headlined as lead violinist in The Jazz Exchange, under the direction of Orphy Robinson MBE, one of the UK’s most influential jazz musicians and a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for his contributions to music. Ronnie Scott’s is one of the world’s most prestigious jazz clubs, having hosted icons such as Miles Davis, Ella Fitzgerald, and Jimi Hendrix. 

2021   Lead Violinist  – EFG London Jazz Festival,  Southbank Centre, UK

Chloe Dickens performed as lead violinist in The Jazz Exchange, a group directed by Orphy Robinson MBE. Her fellow band member, Emma Rawicz, is a Parliamentary Jazz Award winner and Jazz FM Awards finalist. The Southbank Centre is Europe’s largest multi-arts center, and the EFG London Jazz Festival is a premier international jazz event. 

2017  Glastonbury Festival – ‘Concerto for Comedian and Orchestra’ by Vikki Stone

Chloe Dickens performed violin in the premiere of ‘Concerto for Comedian and Orchestra’ on Glastonbury’s Circus Stage. The piece, composed by Vikki Stone, is a pioneering spoken-word concerto that positions a comedian as the soloist alongside an orchestra. Stone is a British composer, comedian, and musician known for her innovative fusion of classical music and humor. This groundbreaking work playfully subverts orchestral conventions, introducing audiences to classical music through storytelling and comedy.
Glastonbury Festival is the largest and most prestigious music and performing arts festival in the world, attracting over 200,000 attendees and extensive international media coverage. It is recognized alongside Coachella, Woodstock, and the Edinburgh Festival as a world-leading cultural event. Securing a performance spot is highly competitive, marking a major milestone in any artist’s career.

2017   Exeter Cathedral – Performance with Alina Ibragimova & Orchestra of the Swan

Chloe Dickens was selected from musicians across the South West to perform alongside renowned violinist Alina Ibragimova and the Orchestra of the Swan, playing works by Sibelius and Mozart. Ibragimova has appeared as a soloist with the world's leading orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra and the Berlin Philharmonic. Orchestra of the Swan is a pioneering British chamber orchestra known for its innovative programming and critically acclaimed recordings.
