And just like that, I'm a quarter of the way through my masters degree in NYC....Already?! 😥Surely not!
This weekend the predictable has happened, which is that I came to the end of a hugely busy period and as soon as it was over, I got sick. 🤒 But this is always a good chance for me to reflect on whatever I just came to the end of. And what a rollercoaster it has been. 🎢
I've met the most wonderful people, from many different walks of life, (one of my favourite perks of being a musician) who have become such brilliant friends ❤️
I've seen mind-blowing concert after mind-blowing concert, and done it on a student's budget! 🎶
I've got stuck in with music academics, learning from some of the leading professors of music theory in the world 🤓
And somehow, I've realised this week, I've settled in here. 😊It was pretty scary moving here. Actually very scary. Many times. Like a lot of times. This city is crazy. 😂 It made me realise how little I was mentally prepared to move away. But somewhere amidst the craziness of this first semester, a part of me feels settled and I'm so excited to return in the spring. 🌸

Some tasty scran in Times square with Sara ^
